Unlike Saffron who uses seduction to rob people, Inara uses it as part of her job. She appeals to her clients by sympathizing with them and using flattery to make them feel wanted and special. A good example of this in the article was when she chose to be with "Fess" instead of having his father hire her becasue she knew that it made him embarassed. Another flattery tactic was when she chose a woman, she made sure to re enforce that most of her clients are male to flatter the woman and make her feel unique and special. "If I chose a woman she tends to be extrordinary in some way." Inara is very good at appealing to people's emotions and making them feel better about themselves.
